Nikki Stalling

Pilates, Barre

nikkiheadNikki’s love of Pilates started in 2006 when experimenting with it as an addition to her typical gym routine. From that day on, Pilates has not only become her primary source of exercise but also her mind and body connection. Inner peace with a strong core to support all other movements of the body has become a tool that Nikki loves sharing. Nikki was Power Pilates certified for Beginner and Intermediate Mat, and has also been trained in Balanced Body Pilates Mat I, Mat 2, Tower, and Reformer certification. She is currently undergoing a comprehensive training program to prepare for the PMA certification under classical mentorship. She works with all levels of students, but intends to challenge your body whether you are a beginner in need of modifications, or an advanced student who wants to go deeper into their workout.

Kelly Beriau

Group and Personal Fitness Trainer

Kelly2After earning my B.S. in Health Education I pursued a career in the fitness industry. To embrace my passion for educating individuals and helping them achieve their goals I worked as as a group and individual fitness instructor at former Boston studio.  I now use that experience and my years of competitive figure skating and cheerleading as inspiration to help others achieve their goals through behavior and lifestyle changes and improving one’s mind body connection. Since I am no longer a competitive athlete I realize I no longer need to train like one, this has lead me to ReDefine my physique, redesign my daily workout regimen, and reeducate myself on muscle movement. Over the years I have learned that every body is different and everyone has a different learning style. I am able to customize an individual’s plan based on their own needs, goals, body type and understanding of their muscles by enhancing their mind-body connection. My personalized, hands-on approach results in longevity, proper alignment, and beautiful long lean muscles, ReDefining the way we look at exercise.

Kathleen Cunningham

Yoga Teacher, Meditation

Kathleen has been teaching yoga in many venues, studios and health clubs in the greater Boston area since 1994. Her style of hatha yoga is unhurried, fluid, with an emphasis on allowing and going directly to the intimate experience of the moment whatever the posture.
She grew up in Ireland enjoying an abundance of fresh air while walking and riding her bike. But it was in Boston that she attended her first yoga class taught by Barbara Benagh. Barbara’s intuitive and precise teaching style opened up a new and wondrous realm of the body and Kathleen studied with her for the next fourteen years. Barbara also encouraged her to teach and thus began her yoga teaching career. She was one of Barbara’s main teachers at The Yoga Studio for ten years. The gift of yoga that Barbara open heartedly shared with Kathleen is immeasurable and for that she is profoundly grateful.

As her practice matured she began to explore meditation and was invited to a Tibetan practice called Dzogchen, undirected awareness, wide open and spacious. This led to attending meditation retreats and an extended trip to Nepal and India. But again it was back in Boston that she found kindred spirits who shared and inspired her explorations. She is a co-leader of Open Awareness Meditation, a group that meets weekly in Cambridge.
Her investigation into the nature of experience continues to be nurtured by the awesome teachings of Rupert Spira and Ellen Emmet, who repeatedly and patiently invite us to know experientially the ever-present, innate freedom and peace that we are.

Kathleen also attends Butoh classes, thoroughly enjoying it’s quirky playfulness, puzzlingly bizzare and spontaneous qualities. She spends lots of time outdoors walking, listening, and birding amongst the trees, and the green nature friendly areas near her home.
