Swedish Massage, Shiatsu, Cupping, Crystal Healing
Katy is a licensed massage therapist and graduate of the Swedish Institute in New York City. With an emphasis in Eastern studies, she considers the whole body when treating physical symptoms of joint and muscular dysfunction. Katy’s background in dance performance and yoga connected her to the body’s expression and wellness from an early age. Moving to a new state every 3 years during her formative years, Katy was exposed to various people and cultures across the U.S., nurturing a natural curiosity of people and life as well as an ability to change and adapt to different spaces and energy. In each session, Katy pulls from her knowledge of the body’s own healing mechanisms while tuning into each body’s unique expression of tension, pain, discomfort, release, and recalibration. Her work draws from her studies of Western and Eastern bodywork modalities, Hatha Yoga, Crystals, Energy Healing, Cranial-Sacral Therapy, many forms of Dance, and personal life experience. Offering bodywork to her community fulfills a passion and desire for healing and connection.

Yoga Teacher, Meditation
Kathleen has been teaching yoga in many venues, studios and health clubs in the greater Boston area since 1994. Her style of hatha yoga is unhurried, fluid, with an emphasis on allowing and going directly to the intimate experience of the moment whatever the posture.
She grew up in Ireland enjoying an abundance of fresh air while walking and riding her bike. But it was in Boston that she attended her first yoga class taught by Barbara Benagh. Barbara’s intuitive and precise teaching style opened up a new and wondrous realm of the body and Kathleen studied with her for the next fourteen years. Barbara also encouraged her to teach and thus began her yoga teaching career. She was one of Barbara’s main teachers at The Yoga Studio for ten years. The gift of yoga that Barbara open heartedly shared with Kathleen is immeasurable and for that she is profoundly grateful.
As her practice matured she began to explore meditation and was invited to a Tibetan practice called Dzogchen, undirected awareness, wide open and spacious. This led to attending meditation retreats and an extended trip to Nepal and India. But again it was back in Boston that she found kindred spirits who shared and inspired her explorations. She is a co-leader of Open Awareness Meditation, a group that meets weekly in Cambridge.
Her investigation into the nature of experience continues to be nurtured by the awesome teachings of Rupert Spira and Ellen Emmet, who repeatedly and patiently invite us to know experientially the ever-present, innate freedom and peace that we are.
Kathleen also attends Butoh classes, thoroughly enjoying it’s quirky playfulness, puzzlingly bizzare and spontaneous qualities. She spends lots of time outdoors walking, listening, and birding amongst the trees, and the green nature friendly areas near her home.
